Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a hands on form of treatment that cares for the health of the whole person. It is a safe, effective, natural and non-invasive treatment tailored to the individual patient.
Using a variety of gentle techniques Osteopathy increases mobility and reduces pain using a variety of proven techniques. These include gentle mobilisation, muscle release techniques, manipulation and cranial.
Osteopaths diagnose and treat people with a wide range of problems :
Sports people: strains, sprains and overuse injuries
Elderly: chronic joint pain and stiffness, arthritis, post operative care
Office workers: occupational overuse and postural problems
Pregnancy: back and hip pain and antenatal care
Other: gastrointestinal discomfort, headaches, joint pain: hip, shoulder, knee, ankle, post concussion

Whether it be a sports injury, fall or lifting injury, ACC may cover part of your treatment cost. As an ACC Healthcare provider, we can discuss your injury with you and place a claim with ACC on your behalf during your appointment.

Clinical Pilates
With the help of pilates equipment such as the reformer and pilates chair we can get you moving correctly and provide you with a specific exercise program to hep with your recovery. Clinical pilates focuses on your problem areas that may be causing your pain. The equipment assists you to be able to perform strengthening and mobilising exercises that you may not be able to perform by yourself, especially if you are in pain. We can also provide you with exercises to do at home.
How to begin: Every new client must attend a private initial consultation with the osteopath where his/her individual needs are assessed, including a postural and injury assessment. If you choose a semi private pilates session ( with two people ) you will both need to attend a private initial session.
What to bring: Comfortable clothing and clean socks. Please bring any relevant medical· notes and/or X Rays.
